Last week while scanning i got a msg that my drive has to be replaced. The next day while scanning i didn't get any msg.When i tried to do a data cd in nero 7, I got the msg that my drive is not in dma mode.What should i do to change to dma mode. I tried in system diagonisis.But it was all in vain.How to overcome the problem

If you are using Laptop the there is no question without calling a Technician, If you use Desktop then, you may try at your own risk. First you shut down the machine and then open the data cable from the Hard Drive. Then you press the start button. You will hear two/three beep sound as it can't recognise any hard drive. It also show you boot failure "please select a boot device". Now you may check the jumper position for you drive. You may follow the jumper setting from the web-side of the drive manufacturer. If the jumper is OK. If you drive is made by Seagate, then you may try to check the drive from Seagate Seatools to check the drive integrity. If it pass in all test then there is no question to re-format the Hard Disk. I will prefer to fill the drive Zero fill to remove any virus.

Contact the person from where you have purchase the computer. coz. this is a very sensitive area, where u want to work, any mistakes will lead you into the desert. so, depend on the experts.
Call the adminitrator.
