*smile* john, that's a great idea :-))))))))
first of all get on th do not call list
and your aggrevating sales calls are slashed by about 80% and when someone has the guts to still call you ask for a supervisor and tell him then that you want the name of the company, his/or her name, because you will file a complaint with the FTC and that this could cost that company $17,000 (per call) if they call one more time. to most of them that gets the point across. if not, on that do-not-call website is a complaint form, where you can turn them in. all you need is the companies name and the time and date they called.
i got rid of appr 99% of the telemarketing calls

Well, there's a national do-not-call list, but I've heard of companies calling people with names on the list, anyway. My mother has a caller ID, and I guess the best you can do is check the caller ID everytime the phone rings. If the number is unfamiliar or it indicates that it is out of area, you could always refuse to pick up.

If you have call display and the number you see is not from anyone you know just answer it like this; Hello City Morgue! Or City police! The other thing you could do is call the phone company and they could set up your phone line to filter out junk calls ask them about it hope this helps ! Peace!

putting my number on the "do not call" list has stopped 95% of telemarketers calls. the only calls i get now are from a company i have an account with trying to get me to upgrade.
get the name of the next person who calls you, tell them to take you off of their list. if that doesn't work and they call again ask for the corporate headquarters number or ask to talk to a supervisor. tell them who you spoke to before and you are now prepared to file a complaint. (the company they represent can receive a fine if they continue to call.)
to register your number go to www.donotcall.gov

Most telemarketers work for an independent company. When they call me, I laugh and tell them I work for whatever company they are calling about. They appologize and NEVER call back regarding that company.
As far as junk mail: write "DECEASED" on the reply and send it back. They don't want to waste postage on dead people....works every time!

Not sure, try what Seinfeld did. Say, "It is currently inconvenient at the moment, give me your home number and I will give you a call later when you are at home"
Apparently telemarketers don't like people calling them at home! lol Who knew! lol :)

Everytime one of those morons calls me I just over talk 'em and try to sell them something (like a used pair of shoes,2 week old cheese, a dead cat or something stupid like that)and I don't stop until they hang up.

Try selling them something or carry on a long boring conversation with them. It may not work but it's fun.
