Yes.....
There is nothing quite so bad as when the person who claims they love you starts to hurt you....then tells you he loves you again...then hurts you..it destroys your soul, your heart, your mind..you become a shadow...
I escaped from my hell...and myself and my children have never been happier..but it took me 5 years to find out who I was again and regain some form of self respect.
If anyone here is going through it..please find help and leave, it's hard, but the right thing to do..you have one chance at this life don't let some other person destroy your right to be happy.

As children growing up my brother and I were subjected to regular beatings from our mother should we do anything wrong or p*ss her off in any way. My father was not aware of what was going on until one night my brother had an epilectic fit and was taken to hospital where nurses noticed the bruises over his back. We were too young to understand how and why 'depression' can affect people in different ways but as I am now a resposible adult myself I have taken great steps to ensure that my two sons were never subjected to what I had to endure.

My ex-boyfriend went into a "roid rage" and would have punched me in the face had his friend not tackled him to the ground in time. He also stalked me whenever I broke up with him. That is the closest I have come.
I have a family member, however, who suffered through years of domestic violence. She is finally free and happy now though.

Yes, 2 years ago on Christmas Eve I suffered a broken collar bone, bruised breast bone and the whole left side of my face was black and blue. Police were useless (what else is new) and it pretty much hurt to do anything. Worst moment of my life, but I'm away from it now and life is good :)

Yes for 4 years untill i had had enough and got out of it, it is not something i would like to go through again, and i feel for anyone who cannot get away from it, or who is going through it now. Thankfully i am now in a fantastic loving marriage.

Yes dear boy I have been and it sure wasn't nice. Thank gooodness I have a man who respects and loves me now. All that is in the past and I have gone on to better things with my life now. The only good thing that came out of that was my son. :D You're welcome.

I can say that i'm a victim right now, and so are my siblings.
Right now, i just have to live with it tbh.
Nothing i can do, and i know in my situation i shouldn't or it will get worse.
As for others, i know many who have been, and still are :(
You just have to stand strong and live with it..

Yes, I have. I almost didn't make it out of the relationship alive. I'm glad I finally got the courage to get out of the situation.
