Doses of over 800 IU a day of vitamin E may interfere with the body's ability to clot blood, which is a risk to people taking blood thinners (anticoagulants). But overall, the health risk of too much vitamin E is low.

YES and it can be very be very dangerous. Any type of OD on vitamins can cause serious harm to the body. Vitamin E absorbed through skin is no different than taking a pill or whatever. It still gets in your body systems.

Yes. Regardless of how the vitamins are absorbed, you can overdose on vitamins A, D, E, and K. E is included in that (notice the third one) :P

Point is, it's in your body.

Yes, although you would have to apply a lot more vitamin E to your skin to OD than you would have to ingest or inject into your blood stream, because absorption is much slower and less efficient. I once heard of a young woman who died of aspirin toxicity because she had applied large amounts of a topical analgesic which contained aspirin to her skin and also took what would have been a safe oral dose by itself.
