I just went to Mega Con a few weeks ago when I went to Florida.There was a lot of sci fi stuff there along with a lot of anime stuff and I didn't look like a normal participant.....But it was a lot of fun. It was really cool to see some of the people that took an insane amount of time to dress up like their favorite super hero, Anime hero, or television and movie hero's.

I would stand out. Sci-fi geeks aren't usually wearing leather and Levi's and scarred up.

i would honestly stand out.

for one thing i would not understand anything they'll be saying plus ill probably be in the corner of the room jsut sitting down waiting for somebody to rescue me.

or id be i the middle looking at anything or everything.hahah

i would be the one organizing the light saber duels.... but thats only coming from my limited stereotype of sci fi geeks. but i get along with most people.

I'd blend right in. Put me in the dark corner with Darth Vader and I'd do just fine.

I would just try to enjoy myself with out worrying about looking like the oddball....some of those dudes know some pretty interesting and entertaining stuff.
