Should the Internet be censored?

Never. The Internet is the last beacon of TRUE free speech in the world. There is no reason to censor, if you don't like what a blog or website has to say, don't visit the site. Censor it yourself. Use your own judgement. The only exception is for children. Monitor them closely. Password protect your computer when they are around. Only use certain filtering programs, though. Some filter out educational sites for the dumbest reasons. Damn the man, save the Empire.

The gov't has no right or reason to censor the internet. Individual companies can police their own forums and servers for things they are in disagreement with. Parents can keep their kids from visiting offensive material. Nothing more is necessary-at this point it all comes down to personal responsibility, we dont need the gov't taking that away in any more areas.

No way. people want to censor everything these days and society seems to be becoming more and less sensitive at the same time. The media is slowly taking over the net anyways.

Internet needs to be free of censorship. Society needs to quit expecting the Government to run their lives for them.

Just because I don't want to look at porn doesn't mean others shouldn't be able to. I just keep my safe search setting on.

EDIT: Child porn is illegal, even on the internet. If you ever come across it, contact the police and give them the site name.
