I liked veggie apart fro broccoli
I used to accidently knock my fork onto the floor next to my brother, ask him to pick it up and put them on his plate while he was doing that

Have you ever ate cabbage and broccoli while pregnant? The gas pains are horrible anyway, that would make it a million times worse. One time I thought I was in labor because of it. The key is eating healthy while pregnant as well as giving them only healthy options while growing up. If it's in the house they will eat it. Kids live how they learn and parent's teach by example. I'm sure what a pregnant women eats affects the outcome some, but one should never overlook the food chooses while growing up in these studies. Personal Example: I'm a vegetarian so my child is going to be raised in a house with tons of veggies and fruits.

In the 1960's and 1970's my family had a chrome kitchen table with a formica top. My parent's realized, when we moved in 1975, and they took the table apart, that inside one of the legs, which were hollow, was years of veggies and miscellenous dehydrated "gunk" that was food my brother had stuffed there to avoid eating it. At first they were baffled because they didn't know what it was or where it came from, but soon figured it out and who sat there. Now that he has kids we hope they do the same stuff to him, as revenge.

We lived out in the country and my father always had a wonderful garden going.
Mom was a great cook and knew how to make all of our veggies taste great.
I still love all veggies and many foods from other countries, as well.
I'll eat most anything! LOL

I didn't have to. My mom was really picky as a kid so never made us eat things we didn't like. Not to mention, my mom is a fabulous cook so dinner was never a dreaded moment. I liked some veggies anyway. I'm a fan of lima beans and always have been so that might also make me a bit odd, but oh well.

I didn't have any tricks. I liked all vegetables and whatever I didn't like, my mother never made me eat it. I was not a picky eater.

Well, it wasn't really a trick - but pure reason :)
I noticed that my mother never ate peas (and I hated peas), and found out she didn't like them and was like well if YOU don't like them and don't have to eat them, I shouldn't have to either :)
Also, I would take the beans out of green beans (kind of like how I eat edamame now), and would swallow the beans with water - it got me out of eating the outside part at least.
And when I was really little I always spat up carrots, so they just stopped giving them to me.

i never really had a prob with vegetables ... like i HATE tomatoes and red, green, whatever peppers .... so i would just quickly swallow them ... and to get out of eating meat i'd give it to the dog .... i was pretty good at eating all my food lol ..

I just refused to eat peas...I liked the other vegetables that were put in front of me.
