Which is better a handwritten or typed letter?

i'm debating.

pros for handwritten- more personal. from the heart. feels appropriate.

cons for handwritten- i might screw up and i bought expensive paper. i might not like my handwriting which is mix printing and cursive. sometimes my writing looks sloppy.

pros for typed letter- it's neat. it will be perfect. no mistakes. the letter will look very clean and professional.

cons for typed letter- not as personal.

which is better?

it will be placed inside the coffin with my aunt.

Update:

thank you lulabellalu

Update 2:

Merry Prankster- i can be a prankster but this is a serious question.

Honestly, written is better. Who cares if your handwriting is 'not perfect'! Write a rough draft on scrap paper, get all of the quarks ironed out and then write it on the nice paper.

If it comes from the heart, then that is the beauty of the letter!

It seems intuitive that a printed letter would be easier to read, but I recommend you hand write the letter. Write in your best penmanship and use fairly large letters. You might also leave a little more room between words than you usually would. That will make reading the letter easier for her, and also reach out to her in a more personal way than a printed letter would.

Sorry about your aunt. A handwritten letter conveys your feelings best.

I read your answer to someone else's question the other day where you mentioned your aunt and MS. I just wanted to offer my condolences. My ex-boyfriend had MS and died a few years ago. (He had other, more serious medical problems as well.)

I think you should type your letter. You'll be able to edit it more easily and check your spelling and when it's just the way you want it, print it out and copy it to your fancy paper in your own unique handwriting.

    Hugs,

Handwritten, in the best handwriting you have! Emotions can be seen through writing.

    Stay strong, sweetie.

In a situation like that i would say hand written. Like you said it is more personal. When telling someone how you feel about them it is better to use your own writing cause your truths and personalities are blended with every stroke of the pen. I'm Sorry for your loss.

Handwritten. Keep it real. You can always write in pencil or use an erasable pen (a good brand though...some of them don't work well), so you can erase mistakes..

A typed letter is easier, faster, mistakes are easily erased and also because I have a lousy handwriting. P.C. is a boon. I am sorry about your aunt.

Depends on what you are trying to convey! Emotion or professionalism!

In this case, go with handwritten!
