what does it mean when a girl wears a non-engagement ring on her ring finger?

yeah she's just wearing a ring on the more comfortable finger to wear it.. i mean for me, i only like to wear rings on those 2 fourth fingers (ring fingers). it has never been known to be a sign of lesbianism. but it could be a type of promise ring from her boyfriend.. it could also be a promise ring from her parents.. you could ask her about it.. like say "hey, i've seen those before, aren't those promise rings? who gave you yours?" or something. :) i'm glad you're trying to find out though! :) good work! :)

I mean usually it does but sometimes people wear rings on that finger because that particular ring fitted that finger the best. Some people may not buy the traditional wedding/engagement ring either because they couldn't afford it or they just wanted to keep it simple. Assuming would be safe but a confirmation is even better. If I notice someone wearing a ring on that finger I would simply ask "how long have you've been married". Then at that moment they can confirm whether or not if they are married, dating or single.

no it doesn't mean she has a boyfriend or she is a lesbian she might just like wearing rings on that finger because it is the ring finger....i wear a ring on both my right and left ring fingers because i feel like i have to have a ring on that finger but I'm not engage. and i wear it when and when I'm not dating someone.

um ive never heard of that? ... if she doesnt have a boyfriend then maybe she just didnt realize which finger her ring is on or just doesnt care. otherwise it could be a purity ring (a promise to stay a virgin until she is married)
