And vice-versa. I want to know, if I take someone off my friends list, can they still see my status if I don't stealth them.
Okay, so, if I take them off my friends list, it will not affect how they view me, if they don't take me off theirs?

If you are in someones list, you will remain there til they remove you. Once you remove someone from your list, you could place them in the ignore list or set your setting to, do not take any messages from anyone not in your messenger list.
