Do you miss India-Australia matches?
Folks i have just realized that cricket is nothing without India-Australia rivalry.
We and Pakiz are now friends and Pakistan hasn't been performing well in last few years. So India-Pakistan rivalry is almost dead.
All other cricket matches are so friendly,so uncontroversial.
No drama,no monkey business.
India-Australia series was real cricket. We fought with each other everywhere. We fought on the ground, we fought off the ground,we fought in the media,we fought in the courts.
We even dragged icc into our fight.lol
We brought streakers into stadiums.
Now India-Australia series is over, and cricket has become a boring sport again.
No fighting.Umpires are tension free.
Damn.
I miss India-Australia matches.

I really miss the Ind-Aus series and the way it was played even
though the spirit can only be seen by angels.
I thing, I want to remind and reminded myself is not to fall to the
trap of BCCI and media. Just go back one year at the same time where was India and Pak cricket. It was in shambles being
out of WC and not qualified and add to it the death of Pak Coach. Soon came few series of cricket, India winning in Eng
and against BD. Then came this Aus tour where everyone was
assuming India will loose badly. But it turned out to be a close
contest both in Tests and ODI, except for a few. But add to it,
all the drama and hype caused by players, media and boards.
Include ICC to it.
I disagree the rivalry between Pak and India is not there. It is
still there and it is a special friendship and rivalry at the same
time. Pak players have injuries and specially the main bowlers
and also the Indian pace bowlers. I will take the Ind-Pak series
any day, any time and it is always played in great interest.
What I do not like is the one-sided affairs as we are seeing in
SA-Ind series. SA has been dominant so far and Indian bowlers have not come to terms on their own pitches. That
is the problem. We do not see any controversies, which is
good for the game, but one-sided games are always boring
whether it is SA or Aus or Eng or Pak. A close fight even in
case of a lost cause is interesting than winning one way all
the time. That is what the game is about.
Related to umps, let us all give them a break....they deserve
more in the Indian hot summer. Pitches and Indian adjusting
to their own pitch is the problem. Wait until the Aus come to
visit India.

I fully agree with you. No cricket series in the recent past has attracted so much world attention as the India-Australia series did. There were lot of interest not only while the match was in progress but both before and after the match and I do not think that Australia had such a tough series for a long time.

You are right about the excitement, the rivalry, the adrenaline that is undoubtedly asociated with india Australia matches. But now cricket may be boring, but during those matches cricket has become ugly, with all sort of controversies, name calling, scandals. Healthy rivalries like the ones that exists between India and Pakistan and England and Australia during the Ashes are good.
India Australia matches made cricket anything but a gentleman's game. It even made the relations between the two countries got sour. Personally, iam glad it got over.

Oh its so true....the matches on Australian grounds were also on nice to watch on TV....the home series is looking so dull...the grounds also dint look good....i really don't have any interest left in the SA series not bcoz we lost the match but since the first match itself.
Whatever happened in Aus was not good for cricket(sledging/monkey stuff etc) but it was gr8 fun to watch the rivalry between two teams...not once did i feel the boredom watching those matches.
I hope IPL provides some much needed action in the matches!

Bret Lee is probably the best bowler in world cricket right now, Matt Hayden as usual very good against India. Pointing off colour and Ishant Sharma is the find of the series for India, Congrats to Aussies though we cant forget the foul taste of Sydney still I think Indians made a strong comeback against the champion team they can hold their heads high.

Actually what we are missing is the peripheral controversies around these matches (like a good saas-bahu drama). Else, there is good, probably better cricket on view between India and SA. Which goes to prove that cricket unfortunately took a back seat in that series.

each team playing australia plays with high spirit and aggression, even there were controversies in ashes. Its that all team want to beat Australia to be no 1. For doing that they go for Kill and aussies are always there which creates exitement. India is not exception. Pakistan team is now became even bad than their ICL counterparts even now a days pakistan fans like ICL matches than their Main team.
But its True now a days watching India v/s Australia is a Different thing with lot of Excitement.

What a thought! I love them too. The excitement is not just there with India V S.A. I miss the IND V AUS matches. Oh well, I'm looking foward to IPL for a similar action.
