A friend offers to help you with something but when it comes time to do it they cant make time, do you ask them for help? What if they didnt even keep in touch after they offered?

Not a friend. A friend would not leave you hanging like that. A friend would be asking you if you were ready to get it done.

Who ever offered to help and isn't available is like that old friend you run into every 5 or 6 years and says " oh we are going to have to get together for diner" and you know its just not going to happen.

Its hard to ask for help sometimes but a true friend will always be there for you.

if a "friend" offered to help, but is now conveniently unavailable....i wouldn't bother..he was just trying to make a nice gesture and didn't think you'd actually take him up on it....I'd let him know that you would help him out if he needed it...and that if he didn't want to help...he shouldn't have offered---find a friend worth-a-sh** that will stick to his word!
