Isn't this a great idea?

Starting next year, the ATP will start awarding points in Davis Cup matches. I think this is a great move on their part to try to get the top players more involved in Davis Cup. What do you think?

Update:

Waisonline, your reasoning makes no sense. Anyone who wins individual Davis Cup matches will be awarded points, regardless of whether their team wins the tie.

    its a rubbish idea.

all that will mean is that american, russian and spanish players will get a boost on their individual rankings at the expense of players without good national peers ( Federer, Djokovic, Murray etc ).
