psp help, its not booting.?
hello, my psp was working fine and has a 3.90 m33 custom firmware. here is what i think i did wrong and i really need some help:
1) when the psp was on, i pressed select and went down to usb mode and put flash 1 instead of memory stick.
2) when i connected my psp to the computer, it showed some files like dic, vsh, and 2 others i dont remember what they were.
3) i deleted those files.
4) then when i tried to start my psp again, the green botton will turn green but my psp wont start.
I was told that i needed the pandora battery so it can start working.
please help me, i have a fat black psp with 3.90 m33 custom firmware.

Maybe now, it's too late to warn you, but NEVER mess with the flash folders!! May I ask you why did you go to your flash folders and delete everything? Anyway, it's good that you have a fat psp instead of the slim.
Do you still have the original battery that came with the psp? You can find someone with a hacked psp and have them to make you a pandora's battery and instead of buying one from ebay. They're too expensive.
Find anyone with a hacked psp and have the to make you a pandora's battery and magic memory stick (aka jigstick).
Oh, just like you didn't know until now NOT to mess with flash folders, here's a heads up. BACK UP YOUR NAND!!
Now you have a phat psp, so you don't necessarily HAVE to do it, since a phat psp can use any psp's nand. But just in case you have a slim, BACK UP YOUR NAND. For you, or anyone else who's reading this.
Don't forget to back up your flash folders as well.
Feel free to contact me if you need any help.
Source(s): I messed up my psp by messing with flash on 3.71m33-2, but that firmware version had a lot of bugs, so it wasn't really my fault. - AndrewLv 71 decade ago
you didnt choose flash1. flash1 holds nothing important. you chose flash0
i honestly dont think a pandora would fix it. By deleting the operating system, you have corrupted your nand, and more then likely your id storage keys.
you can try a pandora, but it might be a waste.
by deleting those files, you need to start with reflashing the nand. find just the nand files from another fat psp with 3.90m33. make the pandora mms and battery.
try flashing the nand back.
if it doesnt work, its toasted and your only option is to buy a new motherboard.
