Very sad event/experience.?

What would you consider a very sad experience for you, but not something that is directly connected to you like, a death of a family member or friend.

Some examples I have thought of are

Major disasters

Whale slaughter

I could mention so many.

This story was very sad for me as this boy was only 16 and on his day off from school was doing something he loved...the day ended in devistation for him his best mate & family.

I dont like it when I hear about people abusing or torturing children. I cant even keep the tv on, if something like that is on. I actually has given me anxiety before.

I heard about that a few days ago, what made it even more tragic was that his friend tried to save him ... he'll have to live with that for the rest of his life.

Interesting qn ... so an indirect sad expierence for me ...

    Homeless people

    People suffering from mental illness'/depression

    Cancer sufferers

Unfortunately the list is endless ........
