Help! My Playstation 3, that I just bought, was stolen!?
Someone robbed my apartment while I was at work and stole my Playstation 3 and all the games. I think I know who did it but I have no solid proof. I called the police and they were no help - I don't even think they gave a s---. Is there any way to track it down?

If you were online then phone sony and tell them your PSN username ID and get it blocked or deactivated. This way they cant use your name or make purchases off your name.
Second, if you know this piece of information then there is some hope. Each PS3 has a MAC address. Its unique and unchangeable, if you have it then tell sony this. If they help the police you can track the thiefs down when they begin playing.

Read the article about the PS3. All it said was that the PS3 screwed up with the launch. 1. There was an extreme shortage of PS3 at launch. 2. People were getting the PS3 to auction off on Ebay. 3. No good games following the launch. 4. Only 1 good PS3 exclusive game at launch. 5. Sony isn't really helpful when it comes to developers' asking for support. 6. Violence over the PS3. The article is mainly about the PS3's miserable launch. If you read the article, there are still developers who will jump through hoops just to developer games for the PS3. If you read further, the mag still thinks that PS3 is going to win this console war. All Sony needs to do is change a few things here and there. I don't think the Blu-ray support is dwindling at all. To begin with, for every PS3 sold, that's 1 Blu-ray sold. So, how every many PS3 are sold, that's a minimum of how many Blu-ray players that have been sold, and then there's the stand along Blu-ray player from Sony and Samsung. For the HD-DVD, the number sold is the amount sold by Toshiba and the 360 HD-DVD add-on. Those numbers can't compare to the Blu-ray because they're optional, and since most people don't have a HD-TV, they're not going to buy the HD-DVD players. On the other hand, people who wants a PS3, will get a Blu-ray player. Once more people get a HD TV, they're going to go with the Blu-ray format if they have a PS3. With all that said, I would still say you should wait until at least late summer or early fall before buying a PS3 because there's only about 1 good game coming out for the PS3 per month between now and fall. But in fall, the PS3 should be getting more good games on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

go to the ones you think and keep bugging the police and the management about a break n entry.
also if there is some kind of id on ur ps3 that sony might be able to find out where it is.

If you THINK you know who did it, then go check his/her apartment.
Isn't it weird they only stole the PS3 and the games? Not anything else "valuable"? Or any food? xD
It must be someone next door or someone living in the same building.
You can either tell the manager of the building to check all the rooms, it might also be the manager..! :o He has the keys to all the rooms, right...? xD

GO to the PERSON who you think did it and ASK FOR IT! If they say they bought it them self ask for the proof of purchase then call the cops if they don't give it back.

You could try and contact Sony. If you've registered with the PSN, they may be able to track it if the tea-leafs try and use it.
Also, if you've set up your PSN with your credit card details.....
