My flonase expired 1/08 and it's 4/08 - still okay to use?
I have a prescription for Flonase that I got out of the cabinet yesterday, and it had expired in January 2008. It's only three months, so I'm thinking it's still good. Does anyone know for sure?

The effects of expired drugs could either be weakened or intensified when expired: Just keep that in mind.

I would not take it. Most drugs are given a date because of a few reasons.
1) Drugs can seperate their active and inactive ingredients causing a possible overdose since one dose can have 10 times the amount of a normal dose within it of the active ingredient.
2) The drug can lose its effectiveness and not do what it is suppose to do.
I owuldn't take the risk even with something as seemingly harmless as Flonase (which by the way is a nasal corticosteroid)

Its still good. Depending on the temperature of it most meds can last a year past their dates.
