DVD Recorder question?
Hello everyone
well my VHS tape player had died and I do not want to get another one. I have no experiance with DVD Recorders so I do not know what to look for and therefore I hope for some help.
I basically want to be able to record a movie, tv show, and save them on disc. Is this possible? I work weird hours so I miss a lot of my favorite shows and also some great sports games. Plus sometimes I'd like to save it and be able to watch a month, two months, or so down the line. Thats the main reason I am looking at this. I personally do not like the old tapes as they are clunky and I don't see why I should get another one to record.
Thanks for all replies in advance!

They work exactly like your vcr. You program them to record a certain day or time or if you have Tivo or DVR you can record from there. I have a low end recorder and it works perfectly fine.
They are especially handy because you can purchase a new release on demand for $4 save it to dvd and have a permanant copy for 1/4 of the cost of buying them at the store and you don't have to worry about running out of dvr/tivo memory.

Well I would recomened getting a DVR or Tivo. DVR that I have with Dish Network is great. Ive recorded things 2-3 years ago, and I can still watch them now if I want.
A DVD Recorder I dont really know about since Im not experienced if you can program them to record TV like Moday at 8 AM.
Srry I couldnt really help out.
