Not all country music is depressing....there are different types of country music out there, don't lump it all together. I enjoy classic country: Hank Williams Sr, George Jones, Loretta Lynn---their music tells stories about their life, pain, heartache, love, family....its real music for real people. Alt-country: hank williams III, those poor bastards, j.b. beverly & the wayward drifters, Dale Watson, Wayne Hancock---very talented artists. Don't ever put people like Taylor Swift or Rascal Flatts(pop country sell outs) in the same category as the above mentioned people.

confident, there particular have been many united states of america/western artists in the process the 50's and 60's and a variety of of alternative them have been somewhat useful at merchandising albums and singles and getting people to come returned to stay overall performance.

I agree way to many Americans try to make themselves depressed by listening to songs that are sad.

Not all are. Some are amusing and funny as a matter of fact. Have you heard of the blues? And what are the blues usually about? And I love listening to it and it does not have any bad affects on me.
