i was told by my mom that i might have mono. I have an extremely sore throat, head aches, when certain parts of my body are touched it hurts and im extremely tired. My boyfriend also has the same symptoms. Could it be mono or just maybe a cold?

I had mono a couple of years ago and these are the symptoms I had

    Swollen glans in your throat

    Really bad sore throat

    Tierdness

    High fever

    Weight loss

Jaundice can be one of them (i didnt have that)

    Acheing

Thats just some of them, but if you have most of those id go get tested by your doctor.

Swollen glands are a more particular sign of mono than sore throat. You need to see a doctor & get a blood test to see if it's mono. If it is, you'll need LOTS of rest - it's no joke.

It could also be a viral or bacterial infection of another type, so it really is important to get checked out & tested. Good luck!

  • Sounds more like influenza.

If you had mono you would most likely have fever, headache, fatigue, huge swollen glands in the neck, sore throat, trouble sleeping, sensitivity to light etc.
