I think a Nerd is someone really intelligent and not very social.

Just like that TV show "big bang theory"

I work with a bunch of them in my lab.

They have the strangest sense of humor and definitely don't care much for fashion

Usually this attitude is caused by over protective parents that baby their kids until they're 25.

I have a co-worker that is 27 and he still has Starwars bed sheets and beach towel.

I do agree that they're not all smart too. Those are usually the kids that get beat up by their parents mentaly and physicaly

To me, nerds are anti-social people who don't know how to mix with other people and refuse to learn what is acceptable behaviour.

In Australia, we call really brilliant students nerds because they study a lot and don't mix with people, but the word must have different connotations in different cultures. I would rather be a study nerd than a loser who doesn't learn anything in school.

Smart w/ glasses, pants too tight--high waters, played out sneakers, has a bit of a snort when they laugh. Not necessarily unattractive but not a sight for sore eyes either. There you have it--a nerd!

An intelligent person who spends most of their time dedicated to their work/studies, and is totally out of connection with any type of style and almost always introverted, and has no people skills.

A person who still trades Pokemon cards and they're like 25 years old. I would definitely have to say that's nerdy.
