A new look for next school year!?? GIRLS, PLEASE ANSWER!? Beauty tips, etc.?
My self-esteem is low, it always has been. I have just never felt like a beautiful, special person. But I want to change that! I'm fourteen and I'll be in ninth grade next school year. I want to change my look over the summer (summer vacation starts in about four weeks) so I'll feel better about myself next school year.
I know I have lots of time, but I want to start sort of planning stuff out now so that I'll be totally ready when the time comes. Right now, I'm not gorgeous but am somewhat pretty. I have light skin, straight teeth, rosy cheeks, straight light brown hair that goes two or three inches past my shoulders, and hazel eyes. The only make-up I wear is mascara. I'm 5' 3'' and 108 pounds.
I want to lose five to eight. I also want my teeth whiter and skin tanner. I want a haircut that will compliment my faceshape, which is a combo. of oblong and oval. How can I do these things? I want to wear eyeshadow and eyeliner also. What colors?
I'll be making the changes over summer
How can I lose a little weight? What color make up should I wear? How can I get my skin slightly tanner without tanning lotion that turns skin orange? How to get whiter teeth? What haircut will look good on me?

Well for starters to look great you have to feel great and be confident. So the first thing you need to change is your attitude about yourself.
If you're uncomfortable in your own skin, everyone else will be able to tell && people are naturally drawn to people that carry themselves well.
Little things also make a big difference in the way you look, like walking. Don't take little steps and scamper everywhere, take longer strides so you look more confident.
If you see someone looking at you make eye contact with them and walk up to them and say "You look really familiar, have we met before?" of course they'll say no and just say "Oh, well my names ____, nice to meet you!" Thats a great way to get your name out there, make more friends and appear more confident.
As for the make up a picture of you would really help but colors like browns coppers and golds never fail, and they give you beauty while still looking natural.
Brown or black eye liner and mascara looks good, I wouldn't go with any other colors unless you are going for a night out or to a party.
For eye shadow like I said the browns and the golds... but also greens, and blues. I'd stay away from pinks and reds because they make pale people look very sick or like they have pink eye... and thats not attractive.
I have tan skin and reds and pinks still look horrible on me.
For the losing weight thing, you sound like you might be underweight for your height.
I'm 5'5 and I weigh 113. But if you are skinny and just have a little pouch where your tummy is, like I used to, losing weight won't fix that... you just have to tone your tummy by doing crunches... or do your normal daily routin but tighten your abs while you do them.
To keep yourself in shape do more cardio like running or riding a bike.

Heyy Celene! I tottally understand how you feel. Pale is HOT! LOL what ever they say they're wrong you look so much pretier pale!! Ok so here are some tips, I really know my stuf and I hope I help! Ok. I'm going to go step by step. For hair- moisurize your hair with a deep conditioner twice a week. I really like the hot oil one. Don't use a straightenr or a blow dryer in the summer it will damage you hair. Also if your hair is right at your shoulders wear it in a ponytail everyday so that the tips of your hair don't touch your hair. If they touch your shoulders pieces will break off. DO NOT wear a pony tail to bed because it will break of pieces of hair. When you do put pony tails in, put a dab of conditioner on the hair band so that it doesn't split your hair. The best shampoos and conditiners would probably be Aveda. Wash your hair every other 2 days so that the natural oils can seep in. Acne- What you need to do is wash you face twice a day everyday. If the acne doesn't clear up you should you a mask. I really like the one from Shiseido. Also after you excercise you should wash your face too. You should also eat a balance dit so they you have enough nutrience. Some good for your skin foods are spinach, blueberries, and mangoes. White teeth- You should brush your teeth after every meal (yes I said after every meal) floss (it takes a while but it works) and not drink cofee (it stains your teeth. It make you teeth very white use a whiting strip such as crest. To be really pale just wear sunscreen every day. I love skin cueticals. It is so nice not too greacy and it makes your skin feel so smooth. Good nails- Stop biting your nails and rub oil into your nails every nigt. You should also moisturize your hands daily and not bite them!! Waxing of the legs- The white chocolate wax is very good- you should try it! Also if you just want to feel or look better I suggest you excercise at least 30 minutes a day. I'm in the same boat so I hope I helped! Have a great day! --Arya Block--

Laying out in the sun for short periods of time is the best way to get a natural, not orange-looking tan. Crest whitening strips work wonders. Cut your hair a little longer than a bob, with the most layers around your face to compliment your face shape. Makeup: natural. light browns and pinks. Little or no black, including eyeliner and mascara. A light brown eye shadow, light pink lipgloss, brown eyeliner and mascara, and your good to go. Trust me on that. As for weight, I wont tell you that you don't need to lose any, and that you're crazy for thinking that. Because that's what people always tell me, and I wouldn't tell you what I hate hearing myself. So what I do to lose less than ten pounds is the three hour diet (weekends). I eat breakfast at 9am (usually toast with the smallest amount of butter I'm comfortable with); 12noon I eat lunch: half a ham sandwich cut into small pieces and I take my time, so I don't get hungry too soon after. 3pm I can eat a 100 calorie snack. 100 Calorie Packs in Oreo and Chips Ahoy are my favorite flavors, and they taste exactly like the real thing. At 6pm I eat a chicken ceasar salad with a tiny bit of 2% or low-fat shredded cheese. Instead of pouring my ranch or dressing all over the salad, I put it in a small container and dip my fork in it then grab a piece of salad. It so much less fattening that way. For weekdays, slim-fast or the toast with minimal butter still goes for breakfast. For lunch I still eat half a ham sandwich, except during the week I eat my 100 calorie snack with it. Then as soon as I get home I grab a water bottle. It keeps me feeling full when I'm not hungry but I want to snack on something tasty. It takes away the temptation. For dinner, I still eat a chicken ceasar salad. And before bed I usually have a glass of milk.

To lose a little weight, go to your local gym and get a membership card. Try to get there two or three times a week, and start with an easy workout. As you build up more stamina, try harder, longer workouts.
As far as tanning goes, just stay out in the sun, but make sure you put sunscreen, and tanning oil on. The only way to get a not orange tan is to get a natural tan. I wouldn't go to a tanning salon, they are horrible for you.
For hair, I think straight across bangs would look adorable. I can give you some tips on how to style them, if you would like. Just message me. :)
For makeup, black eyeliner is always classic, but if you are looking for more "oomph", then you could go for purple with black mascara. It would bring out the green in your eyes. For a glam night out, you could try a metallic liner.
For your teeth, you should try Crest Whitening Strips. They dissolve in five minutes, and also help protect your teeth from plaque.

this is fun!
i went through the same thing aroudn the 7th to 8th grade years.
you sound really pretty now to begin with, and your weight seems fine. if you want to drop a little bit of it stop snaking on gross stuff, or become a vegetarian. i did and i love it.
if you dont want to go too hardcore just drop red meat.
as far as makup and fashion go, im not sure how you dress already.
i know in 7th grade my friend zach had me and his two other girl friends over and we were gonna have sort of a "made episode" him to act more liek a guy and me to act more like a girl lol! they put me in a shot sleeved abecrombie shirt and a gene mini-skirt, and although i was a little uncomfortable it showed me i do really look good in those kind of clothes.
the next time i went shopping for clothes i played around a little more with a girlyish style, but i kept it comfortable for me as well. the best thing is to try and experiment. my favorite outfit right now as a long bright blue V neck over dark skinnies or pinstripe shorts over black cutoffs with a little black vest. i also now own that same sweater shirt which i wear with skinnies and a brown scarf
the best thing to do is to go EXTREME to the look your goign for, then take it down a few notches so you're comfortable, and add some things of your own.
also, since theres allot of brown in your face with your hair and your eyes
go for a pale pink and a matching lipgloss
pastel eyeshadows do wonders with girls who have brown hair. i just recently went brunette after being platinum for a year, and i lvoe it! lucky you.
try dark brown eyeliner and mascara
if its not dark enough for your liking try a coal aolor
dont do straight black or onyx becasue you'll lose the natural colors in your face
just experiment and have fun with it

To loose weight go walking or jogging everyday. I walk miles each day and I don't gain much weight. Buy teeth whiting gel or strips, use them. Use toothpaste that whitens teeth. And if you want a tan, stay outside more, but remember to put on sunscreen. Look online to find what color eyeshadow will look good on you. And for your haircut-get layers.

Okay, well try these tips:
- always do your makeup NATURAL.
don't try doing some big old black eyelids,
or pink eyeliner.
- try curling your hair or making it look
more full. even if you want your hair pin straight,
you don't want it to look limp and just... "there".
- you don't need to loose weight.
- don't try using bronzer / fake tan on your face.
everyone will know and it's just not a great look.
get a natural tan, not a makeup tan.
- i think that a good haircut would be one that is
very straight and just sits at your shoulders. maybe
some kind of angles even. but not layers.
- for eyeliner, just wear a color that compliments your
eyes. or even be plain and simple and use black or
brown.

first of all, you sound pretty. wear mascara, purple eye shadow, and black eyeliner. dance and do aerobics to lose weight. get a whitening listerine. get bangs, layers, and a simple trim. soak up the sun outdoors every day for half an hour or so and gradually you'll get tanner. wear something bright that makes you stand out and look cute. put on a smile!

From te description tht uve told me...i think ur beautiful... ive dreamt of hazel eyes and an oval face..and *** on!! uve got straight teeth!.. rosy cheeks!! ..u shouldnt be feeling the way u r feeling about ur self rite now!... i think the first thing u shud do for the next year is feel confident.. just keep smiling... cuz if you do, people will definately see the change in you..and mite even think u've done something different..they will say uve changed nd all of this because of the confidence u'll hv gained...u also need to know tht, ok, there maybe some pretti-ER girls than u in school or watevr but tht cettainly does NOT mean tht ur not pretty! And anyway, who cares about looks nowadays... if someone is really pretty from the outside and a real ***** through the inside than who the hell, in this bloody world, will like tht person?... anyway so th point is ,, the inside matters more thn the outside and besides, ur pretty...so no need to be so glum! cheer up! lol..ok..not as u have light skin and hazel eyes,... obviously, dark eyeliner (black or dark brown or greyish!) suits best on you..(thts wht my friend did and she looked amazing!).. u shud apply eyeliner all around ur eyes and lyk a really thin line just to outline ur gorgeous eyes! and thn the mascara... you can even put some gold on your eyelids...but it depends.. if ur skin has a yellowish tone...then only will it luk gud..( i mean if its lyk a tan...if it is ,it'll luk awsome!) but if its pinkish..dnt go for god , go for pink or silver ...
no need for blush on as uve already got amazing rosy cheeks! and for lips, (no brown! it'll make u luk older) , try dark pink... or medium pink... or just some clear gloss!
Plus! gawwsh! ur soo lucky! u can get lyk side bangs not on the whole forhead tho but and maybe some highlights!! for tht bangs hairstyle, try the following site...

its got two pix of hilary duff but im talkin abt the one on the rite side..the one with the bangs...i think it'll look amazing on you...as hilay also has an oval face and straight hair so yea... but u can choose any type of hairsytle and u got no probs abt tht as uve got the best face shape there is..OVAL!...so yea...u shud probably get like dark and medium brown highlights which will look amazing!! trust me!.. and uve got the perfect hight and perfect wieght so no worries abt tht...and to make ur teeth whiter, try avoiding candies and chewing gum..and avoid caffiene and coke.. and smoking and drinking..

ummm gurl you seem very very very pretty dont worry just get a new makeup style or something i did it and it boosted up my confidence alot p.s. dont worry this happens too ALOT of really pretty gurls they think there ugly when there gorgeous idk y it works like that but it does you dont see fat *** ugly gurls at your school walking around worrying bcuz they think there pretty when they arent lol well i hope i helped
