i'm English and damn proud, if i could change one thing it'd be the border control, it's too loose and we're loosing a vast amount of our economy.

Still wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world...

I like living in this country. It sure beats living in the big city. I have lived in this country for a long time. The only think I would change about living in my country would be, I would make driving into town quicker. With the price of gas, I have to drive a long way from the Farm to get into town to buy lottery tickets. Also Cable TV is hard to get out in the country.

I love my country (Wales). If there was anything I would change it would be to stem the influx of non Welsh-speaking people into the Welsh speaking heartlands. Many have a negative attitude towards the Welsh language. The ethos of the villages and schools are spoilt.

A village near where I live (it's called Abersoch)...has 45% of its houses as second homes owned by rich English foreigners. What chance have young local people on a salary of, say £18,000 a year have of buying even the cheapest houses there (at £180,000). A beach hut there recently was sold for £45,000.

Thumb down...bet it's an English second home owner.

i don't think its the best country in the world but it's far from the worst. Rather than proud to be British, I'm glad I'm not in one of the third world countries and very relieved I'm not American as I would most likely be one of the poor Americans and I think they have a much tougher life than I do.

Im proud of my country, but i would change, just about everyone in it. we are to selfish and concerned with our well being, we ignore the world around us, and now, everyone hates us.

I wouldnt want to live any other place though , since i do have my freedom, and the choices i make.

Instead of changing the people, i might make the seperation of church and state actually exist, instead of it being there, but not put into play.

    offcos!who wouldn't.

The only change in this situation will be "a strong & vaible economy", am sure this has been the key wish in most cases.
