There is NO difference between a German Shepherd Dog and an Alsatian. The original name is German shepherd Dog. During the world war britishers named it Alsatian, after the German French border area of Alsace-Lorraine. In 1977, the name of the breed was changed back to German Shepherd Dog

First and foremost they are very loyal,one man dog or in the case of our old German Shepard one woman dog,lol.Protective,intuitive,elegant,sophisticated,loving,stunning,masculine,strong a very amazing breed.
