    for any discrete random variable the expectation is:

    E(X) = μ = ∑x * P(X = x)

    E(X) = 0 * 0.1538 + 1 * 0.4332 + 2 * 0.2825 + 3 * 0.0843 + 4 * 0.0296 + 5 * 0.0166

    E(X) = 1.4525

    this looks the average number of hits per game.
