Oh I would love to go back and meet my great great grandparents Kirst because they are the roots I have come from, besides which I love history so would love to be in their era for a time! What a wonderful question!

I would rather go forwards and find the fastest PC available, along with any relevant software, like windows 7, so all the drivers would work for the hardware, then I would happily bring it back and use it for a very long time.
I'm not sure if I would want to meet any relatives. I don't think you could meet your kids in the future unless you actually have kids first before you leave. Otherwise you might get there and end up finding out your kids don't exist which in turn means you don't get back to have them.
On the other hand I believe in the parallel universe thing, so when you time travel you shift to another universe. Making it possible to actually prevent your own birth. but only on that timeline... hehh hehhhh =)
That would mean if I went into the future now and found out I had no kids there, it would be okay because I would be on the wrong time line, my kids would be on another one. =]
I think it is possible to time travel, we just can't achieve it.
Oh and meeting your relatives is a very very bad thing, everything you change shifts you further away from your original time line, so its best to avoid meeting relatives. Unless... you have no intention of getting back to original home.. =[

Neither The Cat nor His Human will be having children. We'd both like to go back and meet The Cats Great Great Grandfather though. He's an Asian Leopard! he MIGHT still be alive, we aren't sure. Can you imagine? An Asian Leopard. how cool would THAT be? That would explain a lot about The Cat too....

I don't have any kids, so I'll say go back and meet my great great grandparents. They were from Ireland, so it would be really cool to find out a lot about my family there.

Back in time. There would be a lot to learn about the family that may save a loved ones life! But then, going forward would also maybe help save a loved ones life. Can we go back, then head forward?

I work with genealogy. I would kill to go back and meet my great great great grandfather, around 1830. He's the big puzzle in our family history. First thing I would say is, "Awright, I want the names of all the people in this house!"
