if you span out your arms far, then your will start feeling a pull on your chest. The farther you san your arms while doing pull ups, the more your chest will be affected

I don't really understand everything you've just said. So I'll just say this: Pull ups (palms facing away) are fantastic for you. They shape your arms and upper back in a great way. Chin ups (palms facing towards you) are good for the biceps. "Also i've been told you do lots of weights and lift it about 4 times to build muscle." Not particularly sure what you mean. Higher weight and less reps (# of times you lift it) will build more muscle mass, but don't drop below 7 or 8 reps and don't hurt yourself. Moral of the story: if you're in really good shape, you'll be able to do a lot of pulls ups. If you can do ten pulls ups, shoot for 20.

Well, chest muscles can work here but only as stabilizers or fixators (of the shoulder). If you really want to work out your chest, do bench or military presses, as these work against gravity, thus making it harder for your chest muscles WHICH makes them stronger ^__^

pull ups and chin ups do work your chest a little
if you want to isolate your chest try bench press, push ups, flys and lifts similar to those

Yes pulls ups help your chest get bigger by the enormous amount of muslce fiber that you have in your chest. Push ups build your chest bigger also.

yeah if you space your hands out wider than your shoulders it will work better on the chest. the closer you space them together the more it works the triceps.

depends how far away you space your hands, the farther they are the more it works your chest and back.
