Density problem?

A cargo barge is loaded in a saltwater harbor for a trip up a freshwater river.

If the rectangular barge is 2.50 m by 24.0 m and sits 0.700 m deep in the harbor, how deep will it sit in the river?

it's not .021 m

to solve you multiply the depth the barge sits in freshwater by the density ratio between salt water and fresh water

    fresh water 1.00

    salt 1.025

    .7m * (1.025/1.00) = .7175m
