I beleive macros can be classified as ony type of virus... (like trojans, malware, sypware, etc.)

First step is to delet the .EXE file you executed to run the infested macro. If it keeps coming back, go to Mcafee.com and look for their free virus tools. One to look for is a file shredder. If Mcafee doesn't yeild any results, look at many other popular virus protection websites (like Bitdefender, ClamWin, and so on...)

Next step is to find a free antivirus, antitrojan, and antimalware/spyware programs. Now seeing that you have a virus originated from a macro, you must be illegaly downloading copyright programs, which in this case, cast money. Download some programs that are opensource and/or free, such as AVG antivirus, Avast!, Avira Antivir, Clamwin, and so on... download multiple programs and run them so you have a solid foundation of which you can start eradicating this malicious infestation. It is VERY frusturating to do. On one occasion, I illegaly downloaded a program (or what I like to call "borrowing") from an unreliable source.

Another step to take is to disconnect your LAN wire or any connection you might have to the outside world or other computers. Of course, do this AFTER acquiring your programs. The reason I say you do this is so you do not risk the stability of other systems on your network.

Install the programs... and if you can, get a top-notch antivirus program from a friend if they are willing to share. While your progrmas are kicking into actions, get a sip of tea or whatever those Brit's over in the U.K. do... :P

Now I must remind you, after your trusty antivirus programs do a DEEP FULL SYSTEM SCAN (rememebr this), move the malicious files to quarantine. You may think deleting them will fix this, but it doesn't. Many times they only come back. So remember to qurantine, not delete. You can make a ringtone out of that if you wish. ;)
