I have a room stereo. The radio works and the cassette player works but not the CD player. What's wrong?

look at the lens of the player. This is often a problem. If there is no lens or it is broken, your CD player is shot. If you really like the player, you can buy a cheap portable CD player and buy a $5-$10 tape adapter you put in your tape deck to play from an outside source (also works with an MP3 or Ipod)
