Do you have a shower curtain or a glass door?

Why do some have glass doors and others have curtains?

Shower curtains, I use a curved shower rod that gives me more room in the shower/tub combo. I like shower curtain over glass doors for the following:

Its more expensive to replace shower doors when broke

Its hard to keep a shower door clean especially if you have hard water

If you get board with the design you can change

If you paint you can change to match

If it gets to dirty you can toss and buy another cheaper

If your feet hurt you can sit on the side of the tub and soak your feet without hurting your butt.

and that's why I like curtains over glass doors

I have a curtain on my shower because the base is a tube and it is generally harder to place a glass door on a shower/ bath tube.

I personally prefer glass doors- better looking, easier to clean- the only problem is depending on the glass, they could break. (I have a dog that runs around a lot)

Shower curtains are cheaper but I think doors look better in the long run

I have glass doors and I love them because they keep water from getting all over the place unlike a shower curtain. I don't have a problem keeping them clean either since I towel dry them before I get out of the shower.

Both, it's a personal choice. And, it's cheaper to buy a shower curtain than to buy glass shower doors and have them installed. If you have young children in the tub, it's hard to wash them and get them out with a glass door on the tub.

    I think if it's a bath/shower combo it's a curtain. If it's just a shower, it's a glass door...

Mine is a blue/green/yellow striped shower curtain from Target.

I'm with the others. Just lift the doors off the tracks & remove the header & sides then caulk holes, but wear rubber gloves to give you a better grip when handling the glass. If there is old caulk that needs to be removed, use a paint scraper with a razor blade, be sure to keep it flat on the surface. If you like the doors, but just have trouble cleaning them, get some Kaboom soap & hard water remover & a Mr. clean magic eraser. I clean our doors while I'm standing in the shower with it running. Spray the doors with cleaner, & let it soak into the grunge while you set the water for your shower. Wet the sponge & wipe down the doors & splash water on them to rinse. The spring loaded shower rods are great. I prefer the cloth like curtains best, because you can toss them in the washing machine to clean them. Make sure you hang it high enough that it doesn't stay in the water causing a trip hazard.

curtain but would prefer glass door

We have both since we have two showers - one because it's just a tub and we didn't choose to put a glass shower door in and the other because it's just a stand-up shower stall with a glass enclosure.
