What's Your Favourite Restaurant in Melbourne?
I'm trying to find somewhere nice to take my husband for our anniversary. We have our favourite places of course but I'd like to surprise him with somewhere new.
Tell me your favourite place to eat and why. Seafood restaurants are out because I'm allergic but anything else is pretty much an option. It would also be helpful if you could give me a guide as to the cost of main courses.
Thanks

My husband took me to Cafe La at the Sofitel a few years ago for our anniversary. Great food, excellent service, wonderful view. I'm sure it's still as good as I remember!
Hope you have a good time, wherever you decide to go.

Schatzis won best of Melbourne a few years ago....and that's pretty good because it's in Woodend. The food is to die for and the prices are very reasonable. It's small & cozy and you can stay over night in one of the many bed & breakfast or Winery type places here in the Macedon Ranges.
It's THE BEST

There is aplace on high st in Kew called strictly thai. It's very nice, quite cheap. not oily and yukky like thai can sometimes be. Good enough for an anniversary but not too formal/expensive. You need to book too. good luck! happy anniversary

If you want fine dining try The Press Club. If you want steak, Stefan's Charcoal Grill is my choice. ♥
