I don't see why not with the fresh, If you cook something with canned asparagus and then freeze it you won't have a problem either.

You should blanch it before freezing it. Put them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then put in ice water for the same time. When you freeze them, get as much air out of the package as possible.

canned is going to be a bit mushy. have you ever had pickled asparagus? it's great. i love cold asparagus with mayo.

Of course. Many things can be frozen. I freeze a variety of things. Comes in handy when you have too much and can use it another time.

Yes you can, most anything can be frozen. Personally I don`t blanche vegetables.
