If you were a tree, what tree would you be?
Personally, I would want to be a magnolia tree. They are big, sturdy, wood is coveted, and yet are still beautiful.

What is wrong with a ceramic lighted tree? It sounds beautiful to me. I used to have a fiber optic tree that I loved and I got lots of flak for it but I didn't care because I got enjoyment out of the tree, and it didn't require the maintenance that a real one does. The only thing I missed was the smell of a fresh tree but I can always light a scented candle instead if I choose. If you've found an alternative that YOU are happy with, ignore the naysayers. Chances are they're jealous of the low-maintenance that yours has.

I would be a Sequoia. They are protected.
One of the few trees that are in conservancy. No one is allowed to harm a Sequoia. They are Tall and strong. They are revered by the locals.
They are humdreds of years old, and will still be around when your magnolia falls to the axe for blocking someones view.

I'd be this HUGE rhododendron, with white flowers, growing next to the top of a high waterfall in the northern Blue Ridge mountains. In its natural habitat, it's the KING of heathers! It's an evergreen and it's highly poisonous to most fauna, so I'd be alive and at peace for a long, long time!
No one said it so, what the hell ....
Source(s): Ginko would be in the running. Prestige, being the oldest known tree. The Beijing plum is cool too: one of the few forms of life that estivate, they blossom in winter!
