That they're the best ever will always be a matter of taste ....
But there's no doubt that the music that Pink Floyd created is in many ways timeless and it has aged more gracefully than most of the other big names of the seventies.
FYI - My best band ever changes on a day to day basis ....;>)

Best ever is pretty much your personal taste.Some people would say the Beatles or the Stones or any of about a million other bands that have been around.People who grew up in the 90's think that Nirvana and Kurt Cobain were the greatest ever and they meet your criteria(at least to their fans,anyway).

ohh i hate to say this but i never really heard of em until one day everyone was talking about them but now i know. so i believe to other people that they are the best. i dont like that kind of music but i must say they are very good at what they do.

It was one of the best artists and still one of the best artists today. A lot of people today still like the group.

yea, but they were really messed up people and not all of their lyrics are about good things. but, they are pretty great.
