mpeg2 editing?
We recorded some miniDV footage with a Sony videocam, burned it to DVD+R with a set-top DVD recorder (as the camera wouldn't show up in Vista or XP) and then used DVD data rescue to extract a 200Mb mpeg2 file from the unreadable DVD (which plays perfectly on the DVD player but not on a PC). We want to edit the file but Womble mpeg video wizard shows garbage and other programs won't load it...any clues as to how we can get to the footage?

You can use two ways.
1. Use some converter as Total Video Converter to convert it into mpeg1 format. Then use it as you want...
2. Use ULead Media Studio or ULead Video Studio to edit. It will surely load it and will give you options to edit or burn in the format of your choice.
(I tried both and both of the ways worked nicely...)
