As a step father, I understand how this could potentially happen. Thankfully I have never had to face this.

You have fallen for an authority figure which you admire. Remember though that he is supposed to be your caregiver and entering into a relationship with him may be a terrible mistake. He is supposed to be your steward in life and help you in making decisions that will help you find some one who you will love and live your life in a productive and happy way.

While it may seem today that you are in love with this authority figure, you will almost certainly come to realize later in life that you would have been better off entering into a relationship with some one who will be able to share your life with you. He would only be able to share a part of it and he is supposed to ensure that you live ALL of your life to the fullest.

I hate to put it this way but if he were to accept your love in the manner that you are putting forward here, he would be taking advantage of you. Whether he intended to or not, he would be taking advantage of your feelings for him when he should be happy to se you share those feelings with some one else who will be able to see them out to the end.
