is there a pro and a con, or is it a given that these innoculations are necessary? What about mortality associated with the innoculations themselves?

Vaccines given to infants are done so for a reason. The benefits outweigh the risks. More and more people are opting out of these vaccines but to do so isn't very smart. There are risks associated with EVERY procedure imaginable. But people choosing not to vaccinate is making out society vulnerable to the diseases and ailments that it took so long to eradicate. Bottom line, I wouldn't take the chance with my child's life to not vaccinate him. To not take advantage of innoculating when you have the means to is not a very smart decision.
