I like Chris Penczak's books. This one isn't quite as in depth as I would have liked but it is worthwhile reading. I highly recommend that you read The Inner and Outer Temple books first since they are part of a series and he refers back to them in the Shamanic book. Also, its helpful using the meditation CDs that can be purchased that correspond with the books.

Haven't read it, but I highly reccomend this movie created by the Authors of the book Astrotheology and Shamanism called "The Pharmacratic Inquisition" which you can watch for free on their website.
