What are benefits of being a child, legal wise?

For a project i have to make a law, i'm thinking about making a law about moving the age of when you're counted as an adult to 21 instead of 18. So that you don't have to pay taxes until you're 21. What other benefits are there of still being a kid through out college

I am not sure how old you are but, as soon as you start working you have to pay taxes. Even if your first job is at age 14.

I have a 19 year old son, and I disagree with you, he is an adult and responsible for himself. He works and pays taxes, and attends college. That would not be a benefit to him or me if the laws were changed to raise the age of majority to 21.
