Has Mercury ever been viewed by a spacecraft?

If yes, what was the name(s) of the spacecraft, and when did it occur?

Two spacecraft have flown by Mercury.

Mariner 10 did three flybys in 1974/5.

MESSENGER flew by Mercury this last January and will flyby again on October 6 this year. It will flyby a third time in September 2009 and then go into orbit around Mercury in March 2011.

Mariner 10, three flybys in 1974 and 1975.

    Messenger, now.

While Hubble could easily image Mercury, it has never been used for this purpose. The risk of pointing it that close to the sun is viewed as unacceptable by its operators.

The hubble telescope is a satellite. It views the planets in our solar system regularly.

Yes, 2 Voyagers went past in the 70's. We have also viewed it with Hubble.

    Messenger just went past, too.
