Mexican Chilies?
I love mexican infused dishes with green chilies, however I recently moved to New Zealand and can't find them anywhere. Is there any good substitute? Or can you grow your own and where would I purchase seeds or seedlings? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I moved to Australia and had the same problem finding chilies...
If you check with a greengrocer or produce supplier, they can often order in chilies or specialty foods for you. I haven't had much luck growing my own because the climate isn't right in my part of Australia, but seeds are available at most nurseries - or they can order them for you as well.
Does your grocery store have a Mexican foods section? I can sometimes find diced green chilies there.. and they're better than nothing.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.. but I do know what you're going through.. <g>
