Please help me with my guy comfusion!!?

Question

This guy and I are really close friends. He told me he has liked me since last year and I have liked him to. I went to his house one weekend for dinner and a movie. We kissed a couple times and had a lot of fun. A few days later he told me he loved me. I told him that someday I could but at that point I didn't. He said to take time on deciding what I wanted to happen between us. I told him after thinking about it that I wanted to just stay friends for now and that I liked him but didnt want to be dating right now. Which is all true. I like him a lot but my life is to busy right now to date. It wouldnt be fair to him. Then he told me that he met a girl that gave him her number and wanted to make sure it was ok with me if he called her. I told him that he could do whatever he wanted I still didnt want to date anyone. So I'm a little jealous of this girl, but I know I shouldnt be but i am. Idk what to do. Any suggestions?

Update:

We made a pact to stay friends no matter what happens between us. And I intend to keep that pact, I can't and won't forget about him. He really is an amazing guy and is someone I cant talk to about anything.

i would just ignore it cause what he's trying to do is make you jealous so that you will change your mind and that you will date him.

It is simply a case of he wants to be with someone and you don't.  You just have to realize he is going to choose to be with someone over spending time with you not because he doesn't want to be with you but because you have made his choice for him.  Just remember, the odds are in the long run you two will never get another chance.

just leave him alone now. I understand that you're a bit jealous now, because he was first "yours". But you told him you wanted to stay friends. Move on, there are 3 billion other guys on this planet! :)
