A living room should be lighter colors with a few bold accent colors from the shade groups. Pick your favorite colors and go with them!

You're very limited, if you stick with the green trim. I'd say change that to white, ivory or beige, unless you have the corresponding furniture colors to go with that green trim.

You have to choose a color for your living room that you know you could live with for awhile, so go with any color, that's your favorite and take it from there, providing you don't already have your living room furniture, as that really will dictate what your wall color should be. You haven't mentioned any details about your furnishings, so it's hard to give further advice.

I would definitely repaint the trim for a clean look. Paint it white and the walls a sandy color. "Arabian Nights" by Behr is beautiful. Then you can choose about any color and style furniture you like. Don't plan your room around the green trim.

billy try a light green. this will lighten the room up. and you don't need to change the trim color. green is a very relaxing color, you then can kick back it the room and chill out.

you want your living room nice and cozy so i would do a mustard color with a brown accent or red and get rid on the green trim you could replace it with red

We painted our family room with a Bellagio Faux that turned out very nice.
