Overall, with a few adjustments, it would be a great gaming system.

    1) the CPU is rather weak, and would need to be upgraded. an Intel Core 2 Duo EXXXX would fit the bill more likely than not.

    2) The video card. It appears to have onboard video, and an 8600GTS would be perfect. Heck, I can play most games on high with lowly 8600GT.

    3) Make sure the RAM is in a dual-channel configuration. Some people will say that you can't have dual channel config with 3G, but thats not true. It just has to be a set of 1Gb (2x 512MB) and a set of 2GB (2x 1GB) arranged right. Reading up on dual channel memory setups would be a good idea.

Overall, it is a great buy. Good luck!

That has Q6600 Quad Processor...very very fast. Only thing left to buy would be say a graphics card like a 8600GTS with 512mb. Thos aren't too much. Also don't forget to buy like a 500 watt power supply.

#1: It's refurbished - not always the best.

#2: For hard core gaming, you want a core 2 duo processor

#3: For hard core gaming, you want at least 2-4 GB RAM memory

#4: Go with a custom built computer!

not really, processor is on the low side and you should look for a system that has 1,2, or 4gb ram so you can use the duel channell feature (only on matching sizes of ram)

Why don't you upgrade it with 8800GT? It's much faster and you'll be glad you did.
