Yeah I have. I've been dealing with pain for about 10 years now. I was in a car wreck and suffered a cervical spine injury. I've been in a pain management program for about 7 years. Here are a few links that I use often for pain issues. I hope they help. I know how you feel and it gets real old real fast!! Good luck

Well, it sounds like you have run the gambit of pain medications and techniques. The only other things I could think of for your would be to maybe look into your diet and be particular about what you eat in accordance with how it effects your condition. For example..All sodas are bad, bad, bad for you, even diet sodas. A diet rich in "greens" has been proven to be effective also. However, all of that is good, but not a cure or pain reliever of any sort.
You mention that you hurt all over, but you only mention DDD, I also was diagnosed with DDD at a very young age and since have discovered several more conditons. I have no way of knowing if you have kept up with a doctor or not, but it is vital that you have XRays every year to conclude the progress of your disease and have your doctor re evalutate your situation annually. I also now have been diagnosed with Fibromyalsia,DJD and Chronic OsteoArhritis. I most definetly suffer from pain all over, it moves from day to day and is quite frustrating. I believe that my medication is absolutely necessary inorder to have any quality of life. If your condition is causing you so much pain that you are in search for something other than you have mentioned I'm not sure you'll find it. The only thing that I do (not so much anymore, too difficult)that you haven't mentioned is Yoga. When I do have a good enough day to practice my Yoga, I am a happy camper, it feels so good to stretch like that and I Always take much less medication on those days as well.
I didn't want to get started on narcotic pain medication for some very strong reasons, but eventually I had to Surrender myself to my disease and maintain my quality of life.
One thing is certain, the DDD isn't going anywhere and is going to cause you more and more problems in the future, I am only 44 and now on disability from back surgery and relatied nerve damage. So, if I was in your shoes right now, I would probably maintain my pain with as little medication as possible while looking into alternatives to HELP with keep the levels low.
Best wishes, I know it is hard to accept, it took me a long time to surrender to my disease and learn to work with it instead of against it.

I feel for you. I am 43.I have had 2 bulged discs since 2000. Am trying to get help for surgery. I have Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Mitral Valve Prolapse, Thyroid Disease, Asthma, and Depression. I suggest you get in touch with a good Rheumatologist or pain Mangement Dr. I was addicted to Vicodin and the withdrawls suck. Tried physical therapy.Pain will eat a piece of you everyday if you let it. I joined some support groups online. It helps to talk to others who feel the same as you. And some have good ideas to try.I will enclose my favorite website that deals with Fibromyalgia and pain.

I'm always sorry to hear of another person with chronic pain . I've lived with it for 8 years now . i do the steroid injection twice a year . have 7 Rx's to help with the pain and high blood pressure it causes . and depression to boot . you need to keep busy . even if its getting into a good movie . listen to music . keep your mind busy at all times when your awake . take sleeping pills if needed so your body can rest at night . getting rest helps to coupe the next day . and make sure you eat right , even when you can muster the thought of food . God bless and good luck .
