If you're referring to using IM or something to communicate with people you've met here, then, haven't done much of that, myself, but some people have.

If you're talking about using THIS site to "chat" then read the Guidelines; that's NOT what this site is for (there are others ways of socializing, without filling this site with it -- thereby bumping real questions from view where they don't get answers, thereby ruining this site).

You risk losing, not only this account, but your entire Yahoo account by persistent abuse of the Guidelines.

No. This isn't a chatroom and it's not a social network site. Chat, whether positive or negative, is unnecessary clutter.
