FELLOW MUSLIMS: Can you give me every positive aspect of Islam and what makes it the one and TRUE religion?

thanks for your interest in Islam...

we can't compare it in a way to degrade others beliefs or to say it is superior or inferior.....

however being a Muslim the positive aspects of Islam is answerable...

1) Absolute clarity in the definition of God and the oneness of God

2) constant contact with God through the prayer (brings immense relief and comfort)

3) the feeling of being socially responsible by paying Zakat (charity)

4) the understanding of human suffering (hunger) during the month of fasting...

the way we are asked to respect our parents...the way we are supposed to treat our guests...the way the women are given respect and honored...the way we are taught to respect our elders...the way we are asked not to mock other religion...

basically it is a complete way of life...and you the more you drink from the cup of goodness and strive in the path to God...the more the cup gets filled...no more emptiness no more sadness...no crying for more money etc...you feel positivity and fulfillment in life :)

I worship Allah, the one and only God WORTHY of being worshipped. Allah meets all the charactaristics that a true God must have, and all others fail. That is why Islam is the right path.

it makes sense.

no offense to other religions but how may types of Christianity is there? they don't know if Jesus is God or the son or all one. they always argue.

Islam nothing has been changed since day 1. the Quran has so much science in it and it proves that it couldn't have been written by man.

Muhammad has the most historical evidence. not only in Arabia but other rulers in other countries witnessed what kind of the man Muhammad was.

to me i can't find a flaw with Islam. in other holy books there are errors. how can a book of God have errors? How come the Quran has no errors? how come none of the teachings have been changed? the time of Christmas and Easter were originally days that pagans had celibrations or their Gods and then christians made christimas is the "birth of Jesus" and Easter his resurrection. they did that it in order to convert the pagans. How can a religion of God add more stuff after their messiah died? how can you mix paganism into a religion of God. Has Islam ever changed their teachings? Even Muhammad celebrated the holidays we celebrate.

Islam makes 100% sense and has never changed so i believe its the truth.

OK...here's something personal. It happened in my country to 5 girls. It was Prayer time and 5 girls went on a ride in a boat. They didnt have their scarfs on and were wearing short clothing. Just when the sound of the prayer reached the girls, the boat suddenly sank. This happened for real because one of them was my teacher.

One thing that makes the religion true is that the belief f the religion comes from the heart of the person.

well first of all we cannot compare islam with all the other religions as none exists in real .. ..

and to just give one liners which tells us that islam is the best are as follows -- -- --

1.we muslims pray 5 times daily (unlike all other religions)

2.we fast in the month of ramazan (why ? there are many reasons for this)

3.islam is the only religion which has its religious book never alterd from the time of its birth .. ..

Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God's religion lslam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of divine revelation, the Qur'aan, Allah states the following:

"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Soorah Al-Maa'idah 5:3)

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him" (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:85)

"Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim." (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:67)

Nowhere in the Bible will you find Allah saying to Prophet Moses' people or their descendants that their religion is Judaism, nor to the followers of Christ that their religion is Christianity. In fact, Christ was not even his name, nor was it Jesus! The name "Christ" comes from the Greek word Christos which means the annointed. That is, Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew title "Messiah". The name "Jesus" on the other hand, is a latinized version of the Hebrew name Esau.

For simplicity's sake, I will however continue to refer to Prophet Esau (PBUH) as Jesus. As for his religion, it was what he called his followers to. Like the prophets before him, he called the people to surrender their will to the will of Allah; (which is Islam) and he warned them to stay away from the false gods of human imagination.

According to the New Testament, he taught his followers to pray as follows: "Yours will be done on earth as it is in Heaven".

how many people has memorized a holy book back to back, word to word and some of them are even younger then 10. Only the Quran. that's a miracle and it has so many techings that makes me know its real. i would like to add to butterfly why would Jesus die for me? If he was perfect and sinless why would God let His only Son die for his sins? I cant believe i use to believe that stuff, thinking i will go to heaven because Christ died for me. Islam teaches the right way to heaven. Christians just say Christ died so thy can do what they want and sin and just say "oh Jesus died for me, im saved" the answer is no! we must work our way, the right way.

Islam is a religion of mind, reason and logic. The first word came as 'Read'.

Mohammad himself was illeterate. If it was a false religion, how dare he would start his philosophy with "read"?

Read was only the start. The religion goes on, asking people to know God by looking into signs, by thinking, by contemplation. It tells us that the student of education is in worship, and angels pray for him. And in Islam it prefers the scientist (who use his sciense for goodness of Islam) over the worshipper. In Quran God says: "he who fears God are the scientist".

This why today you find so much scientists and high thinkers people convert to Islam. After seeing Gods signs in his book. One of them is Gary Miller, an American professor of Math. He was a conservative Christian preaching for Christianity till he studied the quran carefully. He was amazed.

There are so much miracles in the Quran. I will mention only one of them.

"Romans were defeated at the lowest of Earth, and they after that they will win"

It had 3 miracles:

1. Prophacy that Romans will be defeated years before it happened. (they were defeated by Persian)

2. Lowest of Earth, it happened at the dead sea, which is proven in the 20th century to be the lowest point in Earth.

3. Prophacy that Romans will win again (it happened 7 years later). When you read the verses in Arabic, it indicates clearly that it happened after a pause in period.

I remember that I went to the catholic church with a friend, and i was told how they use the icons to get inspired and remind them of jesus, God and mary. And the priest of course got a very special level, almost as a mediator.

In islam, when you go to mosque, you feel simplicity, everyone is equal. And the Imam only to lead the people in the prayers. He does not have power over them. Prophet himself at one occassion prayed behind one of his friends.

In Islam, forgiveness has very high value and reward, even if you have the right to claim your right. If you get your right, then it is yours, but if you forgive, then get higher level or rewards.

In Islam, people are born pure and not sinners. They start to sin only when they reach the age of adulthood (13/14).

In Islam, Adam and Eve are both equal in sins. In the verse, Adam was mentioned before Eve in that sin.

Islam gave so much law in how to organize oneself, family, community and the country. How to inherit, how to divorce, how important to make the debts as written (longest verse in Quran), how bad is cheating in commerce, zakat ..etc.

In christianity, even if you are divorced, you are divorced by human court only. As for the religion, you are a sinner and committing adultary if you married again.
