GTA 4? What is your say?
Personaly looking really forward to getting the game for myself. But have an aunt who bought Vice City for her 10yr old son. This question was spurred off it.
How many parents do you believe are going to buy their children this game without thinking? Then have a fit at the game makers when their child starts to react to what they play?
Don't really mean that the kids go out and blow things up and run away from the police to that extream. Heard a few parents unpleased about the SanAndraes. Due to the amount of swearing in the cut scenes and the racist slur '******'. Being used to a high extend. A child wouldn't know what that means, but could land them in trouble saying it.

There will be an example in the paper how a 15 year old managed to look 18 to buy the game and then there will be a hugeeeee outcry about it. However, there will be one at the side of a 13 year old buying booze from the shops and no one bats an eyelid..

I think if anyone is stupid enough to copy computer game violence in real life, then they have a problem regardless of whether GTA comes out.
I mean I was being exposed to violent films and stuff like that before I was even 10, but it didnt mean I went out into the real world and started doing that kind of thing?!
And what do they think these kids are gonna do anyway? Go round stealing and driving every car in a 5 mile radius and then getting their machine gun out?! I mean come ON...
Oh yeah, PS GTA is the best game in the world ever!!!

i'm a parent of a 16 year old and i will be buying it for my son.he has played all the other gta games and never gone out and decided to steal a car just because of the game.i think in todays society it's all too easy to blame a computer game for childrens yobbish behaviour.if the children were brought up to have a bit more respect we wouldn't have as much yob culture as we do now.

i remeber playing GTA on the pc and i was only about 6-7, although the graphics were basic it never made me want to go around stealing cars and shooting people
its just a game, you play the game so you dont have to do it in real life

I think they'll buy it just so they've got something to whinge about, why cant people grasp the concept of an 18 certificate.
