Error Code 2, 4 or 5. On Yahoo Mail?

For Error Code 2 and 6:

If you received one of these two error codes, there is nothing you can do on your own. You need to contact customer care for a fix.

For Error Code 4:

Error Code 4 usually occurs when you try to access an email message that has been moved or deleted. For example, if you delete an email from your inbox and hit the back button on your browser, the email will still show up in your inbox. If you click on the email, you'll get an Error Code 4 because even though it looks like the email is there, it really isnt.

If you clicked on a legitimate email message that wasn't deleted or moved and you get an Error Code 4 every time, click Check Mail and then try to access the same email again.

If you still get an Error Code 4, contact customer care and list the steps you took to duplicate your issue plus the following:

the sender

subject line

the date of the message

the name of the folder where the email message is stored (could be Inbox)

For Errorcode 5:

You have several windows or tabs open in the same Yahoo! Mail account. The Error Code 5 is a temporary problem which should go away once you close the additional tabs or windows.

You're running the browser-based Yahoo! Mail service, and another mail service (such as Outlook or your mobile phone email service) tried to access your Yahoo! Mail server. Try shutting down your other email services to see if this removes the Error Code 5.

If these solutions don't fix the Error Code 5 issue, contact customer care with the steps you're following, up to the point you get the error message:

How are you accessing the Yahoo! Mail service (web or mobile phone)?

Which folder are you opening or trying to open when you get the error?

Which actual email are you trying to open when you get the error?

Are there any other steps you're following before getting the error code?

My own thoughts, accumulated by observation:

If you already followed all of those steps and still have the same problems: are you running New Yahoo Mail? Check your browser settings, you must enable Javasript and Java.

yup,,,, same exact situation here... obviously not a problem with us... it is a yahoo issue with everyone. Wouldn't bother calling... last time I did it wasn't an issue that sooooooo many people were having and it still took me almost 2 hours to talk to someone... yes, was on hold the entire time. this is freaking fantastic! :/

I've been having the same issue this afternoon with error code 4. Never had this before, and desperately needed access for a presentation I'm doing tonight.

Got into one email by "checking mail", but that only worked once. Just changed to Basic Mail and that seems to have worked, but rather annoying.

I'm seeing error code 4 on every message, too, but only on my Windows 8 computer. I can view my mail on my Kindle.

Error Code 4 all day - what to do?

I'm getting error code 4 with every e-mail also. I get the same error whether accessing e-mail using Chrome or IE or thru my cell phone. While frustrating, I'm glad to know it's not just me.
